• The site never asks for your name, email address or password.
• Your race results stay in your browser.

Data your browser stores

The game saves two things in your browser's local storage:

• your best WPM;
• your last 20 race results, with WPM, accuracy, place, difficulty and time.

This data never leaves your device. The site has no server to send it to. Clear your browser data to delete it.

Analytics

The site uses Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. The script is served from stats.senty.com.au. Plausible records:

• the page address;
• the referrer;
• the country, the browser and the device type in coarse form.

Plausible does not use cookies. It does not store personal data. It does not follow you to other sites. We also send two anonymous events: race started and race finished, with the difficulty level and your place. These events carry no name and no score history.

Hosting logs

Cloudflare serves the site. Like most hosts, Cloudflare records standard request data, such as the IP address, the browser string and the time. Cloudflare uses this data for security and for site delivery. See the Cloudflare privacy policy for details.

Ads

The site shows no ads today. The site also uses no ad cookies and no tracking pixels. If ads arrive, we update this page before the first ad goes live and describe the ad partners and their cookie use.

Children

The site is a typing game for a general audience. It has no accounts, no chat and no personal data collection, so it fits younger users as well.

Your choices

You can clear the local game data at any time. Open your browser settings and delete site data for typingrace.app.

Changes to this policy

We list the date at the top of this page when the policy changes. A big change gets a note on the home page.
